What’s new at Balliu for 2027: new ways to experience the outdoors

Some pieces begin to define a space from their very first lines. A curve that softens the whole, a proportion that brings lightness, a panel that filters the light and creates a more intimate corner. Balliu’s new outdoor furniture for 2027 explores this relationship between design and the way we inhabit a place. The Alba sun lounger and side table, together with the new Noa Balinese daybed, expand our collections with a contemporary aesthetic and an attention to detail rooted in our experience as manufacturers. Designed for hotels, terraces and poolside areas, these pieces support both moments of relaxation and the everyday work of those who care for these spaces.

Alba, the beginning of a new collection

Alba takes its name from the first light of day. A moment of transformation that inspires a collection born from Marina’s legacy and opens a new chapter in the design of our aluminium sun loungers. Its profile combines a rounded face, which retains a connection to its origins, with a flat surface that traces a more defined outline. The silhouette takes on an expression of its own, with soft lines and balanced proportions.
Alongside it, the Alba side table shares the same design language. The two pieces create a relaxation area with visual continuity: forms that complement one another and leave room for the architecture, the landscape and the people who use them. Colour completes this relationship. The frame finishes and fabric options allow for understated compositions or give the furniture a stronger presence within the project.

Noa: spaces that find their own privacy

Beside a pool or on an open terrace, creating a relaxation area also means deciding how it relates to what happens around it. How much light comes in, which views remain open and where a little more seclusion is needed. The new Noa Balinese daybed brings these possibilities to the collection. Its tubular profiles preserve the family’s identity and form a structure that frames the relaxation space.
Sliding fabric panels allow shade and privacy to be adjusted throughout the day. Moving them changes how open the space is to its surroundings, and the light takes on different qualities. A simple gesture that creates different ways to enjoy the same piece. The independently reclining backrests also accommodate each person’s preferences. The composition retains its unity while each user finds their own position for relaxation.

Three ways to imagine a space

Noa brings together three possibilities in one design: the complete set, which frames relaxation beneath the pergola; the standalone daybed, open to its surroundings; or the pergola on its own, to create a shaded area and combine it with other furniture. Three configurations that share the same identity and allow the space to take shape according to the needs of each project. With this addition, Noa expands its presence in outdoor projects and allows different areas to be connected through a shared design language.

A manufacturer’s perspective

Behind every new form are decisions that reveal their value through use. The height at which we sit down, the way a piece is moved or access to the fabric when it needs replacing are also part of the design. With Alba, a higher frame makes it easier to get on and off the sun lounger. Its cord fastening system for the fabric has been optimised to make replacement easier while retaining a clean aesthetic.
On the Noa Balinese daybed, integrated wheels help with moving and repositioning the piece. This is a relevant detail in professional spaces, where furniture layouts are part of everyday management. As outdoor furniture manufacturers, we work with both perspectives in mind: the piece that gives a project its character and the one that must then support its daily activity. Aesthetics, use and maintenance all inform the decisions that shape it.

New shades to complete the ensemble

This evolution also finds expression through fabric. Voramar, Balliu’s new collection of textilene fabrics, brings together six options inspired by the light, landscapes and natural elements of the Mediterranean, where our roots lie. Organic greens, mineral blues and earthy tones expand the possibilities for composition while maintaining the same performance as Balliu’s current fabrics. Presented alongside Alba and designed to extend across the range of pieces with fabric options, Voramar creates colour continuity between different pieces and settings. A new palette for projects with diverse architecture, landscapes and identities.
